Wind-a breath of heart- is based off the story of the game with the same name. The OVA and TV Series both follow the general story, however they do have differences, for example where they start in the first episode.

They both came out in June, 2004. Volume 1 of the OVA was released on June 25, 2004. The TV Series broadcasted on June 30, 2004 on AT-X.
